Frequently Asked Questions

F.A.Q.

Do you take insurance?

The short answer to this question is no. The longer answer is that due to licensing restrictions I am unable to.

What states do you see clients in?

I see clients in both Colorado and Texas. Since I am virtual, you can be ANYWHERE in either state and work with me!

Will you tell me the things my child shares?

While legally you are entitled to information regarding your child's care, I encourage my adolescents caregivers to respect the autonomy needed for good therapeutic work. Let's talk more about this during our initial screening!

How long do I have to be in therapy?

Therapy is not a "one-size-fits-all" situation. There are a lot of factors in deciding how often and how long you stay in therapy. We will work in collaboration to figure out a plan that is best for you.

Will you diagnose me?

Diagnoses can feel empowering to some and problematic for others. I am absolutely capable of giving a diagnosis but you and I will be in transparent dialogue about the process each step of the way.

How do I know if you're the right therapist for me?

This is an important question and I'm glad you asked. Firstly, I encourage you to look through the site and read as much as you can about me. Then book that free 15 minute screening and if it feels right, great! If not, I'm happy to offer referrals.

If this question arises when we're already working together, I encourage you to share openly with me in a session. Our therapeutic relationship is absolutely a tool and addressing things like this is important.

When do you see clients?

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday are when I see counseling clients. I have daytime and some evening options available.
